The OnePlus 9 has received a major discount on Amazon India. The smartphone presently has a special deal where users can club a couple of offers to get the smartphone at much lower than its typical retail price. The device was launched at Rs 49,999 in March this year, and is expected to be replaced by the OnePlus 10 series some time next year. The smartphone offers flagship grade performance and also has a more premium offering, the OnePlus 9 Pro.

The special discount offer comes with a direct price cut of Rs 5,000 on the OnePlus 9. To avail this, users are simply required to check a box to apply it to the price of the phone. Checking the coupon automatically adds the OnePlus 9 smartphone to a user’s shopping cart.
Once added, users can further club this coupon with two distinct bank offers. The first offer is linked to any ICICI Bank credit card, and offers a discount of Rs 5,890 on the smartphone. With this offer, the price of the smartphone will come down to Rs 39,109.
The second offer will give users a flat discount of Rs 8,000 on any ICICI Bank debit card, or credit cards apart from the Amazon Pay ICICI credit card. This brings the price of the smartphone down to Rs 36,999 – hence giving a total discount of Rs 13,000 on the MRP of the smartphone.
Users can also avail exchange offers that range up to maximum value of Rs 19,900 on the OnePlus 9. For example, a OnePlus 7 user can swap their smartphone for the new device, and get an additional discount of up to Rs 9,300 on it. This can potentially bring the overall price down to Rs 27,699.
The discounts will reportedly be valid for a limited period of time. OnePlus typically introduces price cuts on its outgoing phones when it is about to introduce a new flagship. As a result, it will be interesting to see if the brand extends the discount to the device on a permanent basis already – or if it is a limited period offer.
