Redmi has confirmed the launch of a new budget smartphone. The company has announced that the Redmi 10 will launch soon in India. The budget smartphone will launch in India on March 17. Ahead of the launch, the company has also listed some of the key Redmi 10 specifications ahead of the launch.
The device is confirmed to be available for purchase in India via Flipkart following its launch. As per the teaser on Flipkart, the Redmi 10 will come with a Snapdragon processor. Let’s take a look at the Redmi 10 features, specifications and launch details revealed so far.
Redmi 10 India Launch
Redmi 10 will be a new budget smartphone from Xiaomi in India. The budget smartphone is expected to be priced at around Rs 10,000. The device has not launched globally as of yet. Based on the teaser, the Redmi 10 is confirmed to feature a Snapdragon chipset. The device might be a 4G offering and is expected to feature a Snapdragon 680 SoC, which was launched recently. We speculate this based on the 6nm Snapdragon chipset teaser on Flipkart.
The teaser post also reveals that the phone has a water-drop display at the top. The screen is likely to be an IPS LCD. It will have a fairly thick chin bezel compared to the top and the sides. The screen size remains unknown at the moment.
On the back, the phone has a dual-camera setup. The text on the camera module confirms that the phone has a 50MP main camera sensor. It is likely to feature a 2MP depth sensor. The LED flash is also placed inside the camera module.
In addition to these details, the microsite confirms that the phone has support for fast charging. It will pack a “massive battery”, which we suspect will be a 5000 mAh unit. The phone also has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. It is expected to feature MIUI 13 out of the box. Other details of the phone remain unknown. We will share more details as and when available.
