By team91 -

Antutu, one of the most popular smartphone benchmarks around the world, offers a regularly updated list of the most powerful devices in the market that users can buy. Since it pertains to smartphones, this list is particularly exciting, and there are multiple reasons for it. The smartphone market is one of the most competitive global hardware industries, and given the massive amount of consumer interest in it, there should be no surprise that this is one list that is to be closely followed by any tech enthusiast. The latest list reflects on the newest smartphones in the market, and the best chipsets as well. The top-performing Android phones list as per Antutu is ruled by devices running on Qualcomm chipsets, and the top OEMs include Nubia, ASUS, Realme, iQOO, OnePlus, Sony, and Xiaomi. With that, here’s taking a detailed look.

Table of Contents

1. Nubia Red Magic 6 Pro – 8,37,506 points

The revamped list positions the Nubia Red Magic 6 Pro as the top-performing Android smartphone for the period between August 1 and 31, 2021. The device is undoubtedly one powerful smartphone, and has kept in line with the overall Nubia ‘Red Magic’ gaming smartphone portfolio offering strong gaming hardware. It features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, along with 16GB RAM onboard. Antutu states that Nubia may soon launch a Red Magic 6s Pro with the Snapdragon 888+ SoC, but unfortunately, it’s unlikely to launch in India.

2. Asus ROG Phone 5 – 8,17,404 points

The Asus ROG Phone 5 is undoubtedly the most powerful gaming smartphone that you can buy in India today. It features the Snapdragon 888 SoC from Qualcomm, just like its rival – the Nubia Red Magic 6 Pro. It also has 16GB RAM, and its higher variant, the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate, even comes with 18GB of RAM. With features such as a 6.78-inch, 144Hz AMOLED display, a 6,000mAh battery with 65W charging and RGB LED lights at the back, it is one of the best smartphones around. Prices begin at Rs 49,999 in India.

3. Realme GT – 8,16,743 points

The Realme GT 5G is not just the third best performing Android phone in the market as per Antutu data, it is also one of the most affordable ones. The 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant mentioned in the chart costs Rs 41,999 in India, making it one of the most affordable devices through which users can enjoy flagship performance from one of the best phones around. The Realme GT offers up to 12GB RAM, but that is clearly no pushover either. It offers features such as a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED 120Hz display, a 64MP triple rear camera, and more.

4. iQOO 7 – 8,14,662 points

Sold in India as the iQOO 7 Legend, this one’s yet another Snapdragon 888-powered smartphone that knocks the performance out of the park. Interestingly, the iQOO 7 (or iQoo 7 Legend in India) was the previous top-performing Android smartphone in Antutu listings, based on previous month’s data. Priced at Rs 43,990 in India, it offers features such as 4K 60fps video recording from the 48MP triple rear camera, 12GB RAM, a 6.62-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, and a 4,000mAh battery with a staggering, 120W super-fast charging. Unfortunately, the model sold in India restricts this to 66W.

5. OnePlus 9 Pro – 7,96,823 points

No longer just a flagship killer but a full-grown flagship in itself, the OnePlus 9 Pro is a great overall phone that Antutu states is also the fifth fastest Android device in the world. It not only features the Snapdragon 888 SoC, but also up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It also has a 6.7-inch, LTPO AMOLED 120Hz display, a 48MP quad rear camera setup with 8K or 4K 120p video recording, and a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging. The rear camera setup also comes with Hasselblad co-branding. The OnePlus 9 Pro retails at Rs 69,999 in India.

6. Sony Xperia 1 III 5G – 7,93,515 points

Pronounced as the Sony Xperia 1 ‘Mark’ III, a nomenclature typically used by Sony and other camera manufacturers around the world, this excellent smartphone is sadly not available in India – ever since Sony withdrew its phones from this market. Featuring the Snapdragon 888 SoC with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage, the Sony Xperia 1 III features a tall, 4K OLED display, a pro camera setup featuring 4.4x optical zoom, 4K 120fps HDR videography, 5-axis OIS, and more, and many other features that make it stand out from the crowd.

7. Xiaomi 11 Ultra – 7,92,981 points

Henceforth known only as the Xiaomi 11 Ultra after its product rebranding from Mi to Xiaomi, the Xiaomi 11 Ultra is undoubtedly a great smartphone to use. Along with the flagship SoC and good performance specs, the Xiaomi 11 Ultra features a venerable triple rear camera setup, with one 50MP primary, a 48MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom, and a 48MP ultrawide camera, along with a 1.1-inch AMOLED selfie display at the back. It also has a 6.81-inch, 2K+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, and a 5,000mAh battery with 67W charging – all at Rs 69,999 in India.

8. Xiaomi 11 – 7,79,818 points

The Xiaomi 11 was not launched in India, but if you’re looking for a powerful phone in other markets, this one is a decent smartphone to consider, too. Featuring the Snapdragon 888 SoC along with 8GB RAM, the Xiaomi 11 gets the same display as the 11 Ultra that’s available in India, along with a 108MP triple rear camera, full HD 60fps video conferencing through the front camera, and a 4,600mAh battery with 55W fast charging. The Xiaomi 11 is undoubtedly a premium smartphone, and has decent overall specifications to boot.

9. Xiaomi 11i – 7,79,706 points

The Xiaomi 11i is very similar to the Xiaomi 11X Pro that is available for sale in India. It features a 6.67-inch, Super AMOLED full HD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate, which clearly ranks below the 11 and 11 Ultra smartphones in Xiaomi’s portfolio. It has a 108MP triple rear camera with 4K 60fps video recording, and the 4,520mAh battery is paired with 33W fast charging as well. On overall terms, the Xiaomi 11i’s identical twin, the 11X Pro in India costs Rs 41,999, and is a pretty good overall smartphone to buy with the flagship Snapdragon 888 SoC.

10. Asus Zenfone 8 – 7,78,716 points

Ranked as the Zenfone 8 Mini by Antutu, the Asus Zenfone 8 is possibly the only ‘compact’ Android smartphone with flagship specifications that do not compromise on the overall package. It has a Snapdragon 888 SoC with 8GB RAM, a 5.9-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, a 64MP dual rear camera with up to 4K 120fps and 8K 24fps video recording, and a 4,000mAh battery as well with 30W fast charging. The smartphone is tipped to launch in India soon as the Asus 8Z – due to copyright issues with the ‘Zenfone’ brand.
