The Hero Splendor iSmart 110 was the manufacturer’s first BS6-compliant launched in November at Rs 64,900. Now, around five months later, Hero has hiked the price of the motorcycle by Rs 2,200.
The Splendor iSmart 110 is now priced at Rs 67,100 and is available in a single variant that offers a front disc brake as standard. It is built around a new diamond frame that houses a 110cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that produces 9bhp at 7,500rpm and 9.89Nm at 5,500rpm.
Apart from a BS6-compliant motor, the Splendor iSmart 110 also comes with features like idle start-stop system, a larger fuel tank and better illumination for the headlamp as compared to the BS4 model. Moreover, the motorcycle also gets bold graphics and is offered in a choice of three colours- blue, grey and red.
In other news, the manufacturer will donate custom built, first-responder mobile ambulances powered by Hero Motorcycles to battle the Covid-19 pandemic in India. Furthermore, Hero Motocorp is expected to launch the Xtreme 160R in the country once the situation normalizes.
