Past rumours revealed that OnePlus will soon launch two Nord series smartphones in the first half of this year, including the Nord CE 2 Lite and the Nord 2T. The new leak highlights the design and some features of the upcoming Nord CE 2 Lite for the very first time.

As per the new leak, the upcoming OnePlus smartphone will include a glossy plastic rear panel with curved sides, unlike the predecessor Nord 2T that comes with a sandstone finish. The rear panel is seen housing a rectangular camera module with two large camera sensors, a smaller third camera, and an LED flash.

The new renders show the smartphone with a flat side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the right, while the left side includes the volume controls and a hybrid SIM slot. This suggests that the Liter version of the smartphone will not include a dedicated slot for a micro-SD card. At the bottom, the upcoming Nord smartphone includes a Type-C port, speaker grille, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The renders do not show Alert Slider, which was revealed in past leaks.

On the front, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite is tipped to include a punch-hole camera in the top left corner. The smartphone is also said to be the first Nord device to come packed with the Android 12 operating system out-of-the-box.

Specifications of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite have already been leaked previously. Going by past reports, the smartphone will include a 6.58-inch FHD+ display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate.

It is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Leaks have suggested that the Nord device will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging in the box.

On the camera front, the OnePlus smartphone is tipped to include a 64-megapixel OmniVision primary sensor coupled with a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel mono lens. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone is likely to include a 16-megapixel sensor inside the hole-punch display.

In terms of pricing, the upcoming smartphone is said to be cheaper than the Nord CE 2, which was launched in India at a starting price of Rs 23,999. Rumours suggest that the soon-to-launch liter version will be priced under Rs 20,000. The company hasn’t revealed any details about the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite yet.
