Coolpad Note 3 is Slow? 5 Ways to Speed up your Phone in 9 Minutes

Smartphones have come a long way in development, whether we talk about the Android or iPhone, or any other mobile platform based phones, we know have the power of DSLR-like Photography in hand, high-speed internet connectivity, which allows us to access the network from anywhere in the world. We now have the power of computing on our mobile handsets as close to a desktop/laptop. All this is true for high-end smartphones, whereas the mid-range suffers from a perfect blend of software and hardware, which lead to a not so efficient smartphone, and that’s where you need a help of some principles to improve the performance of your device.

In this case, we are talking about the Coolpad Note 3, which is a handset with a good amount of RAM and internal storage, but the UI isn’t too smooth. So, I reckon after using it a couple of weeks the device has slowed down a lot. You don’t worry; just follow simple instructions we have mentioned below and your device would be better than ever, it would be as new as you just unboxed the device.

Uninstall or Disable Unused Apps (2 Minutes)

The first thing that you should do is identify the unused apps on your Coolpad Note 3. Having a lot of apps installed on your device feels good, especially when you have plenty of storage space. But remember, the more apps you have installed, the more RAM and system processing would be required for it to run. And even if you haven’t used that app in a long time, it would be running on background and that takes the toll on the processor, and the battery life is used despite you’re not actually using the app. So, it’s a waste of resource if think having a large amount of apps is good. We recommend if you use an occasionally, then it would be better to install them when needed and remove as soon as you’re done with the work. To do so, you just have to head over to the Settings area and then to the apps section, there you have to identify the unused apps and uninstalled them. If you can’t uninstall them, then you have to disable them. The reason they can’t be uninstalled is because they’re bloatware of the system. Also, make sure that you don’t have a lot of apps running in the background in future.

Limit/Remove Widgets (1 Minute)

The widgets are fun, especially for custom interfaces with app drawer. I don’t like to head over to the app drawer searching for apps in order to know the weather or say latest emails. Using an email widget or a weather widget is what I would do to access information faster. But that is not the ideal way if your device is suffering from slow performance, because these widgets take up a lot of processing power, as they constantly are in contact with the server to give you latest information. I would recommend you to remove these widgets as I did and improved the performance of the device. How to remove the widgets from your home screen? Well its simple, just hold on and drag them upwards to the cross icon. Now it’s gone. See, it wasn’t so hard, right.

Clear App Cache (1 Minute)

This is an important part that everyone should do on their handset, even the mid-range or high-end smartphone users. Why it is that important? Well, every time you access an app, the device stores the cache, so that next time you open it, it would load all that stuff already since it was stored in the cache memory. In time, this memory increases a lot, and if you haven’t cleared a cache says since a month, then you must, as that is one of the reasons for system slowing down. It is quite easy to clear the app cache, you have to launch the Settings app and head over to the storage option. Now in the list opened, tap on the Cached data and a new window will pop. Tap delete on the newly opened window. That’s it; the app cache is cleared now.

Update Software (2 Minutes)

Sometimes, the reason your system is slow because the UI is buggy, always remember that Android is an open system; let’s not assume that it would be bug-free. Now in the meantime, if you really are having experiences like the crashing of system apps, then you can report to the manufacturer. You can try to report this issue on their forum, or could raise a discussion about it on our forums page. Hopefully, the company should be already working on that issue if it’s experienced by many users. So, you should check on the software update, to do so, launch Settings app and go to the About section. The first option would be the desired one, tapping on that should show any latest software updates that might be in the pending. If not, then you should tap on the report next time that ANR (Application Note Responding) pops up.

Factory Reset (3 Minutes)

This is your last resort to speeding up the performance on the Coolpad Note 3. You have tried everything and aren’t satisfied with the outcome. Unfortunately, you would have to factory reset the device to have that quick performance back on your device. Before you do the factory reset, you should do a full back of the data; media, contacts, and anything that is precious to you, as it would all be completely removed. To do factory data reset of Coolpad Note 3, you have to head over to the Settings app, there go to the backup and reset option. Now in the list opened you should tap on the last option, that is, Factory data reset. Tap the Reset phone and it should initiate the process. Have patience it takes some time for the device to go through this procedure.

We hope all these options have helped you in speeding up the Coolpad Note 3.
