Top 10 AnTuTu flagship smartphones for December 2021

Today, AnTuTu announced the top 10 Android flagship smartphones for December 2021. Of course, we don’t expect the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 SoC to be on the list. Smartphones (Moto Edge X30 and Xiaomi 12/Pro) with this chip were released late in December thus can not make the list. Since these smartphones have been in the market for only a few days, there is not enough data to rate them. However, the top 10 smartphones on this list use either Snapdragon 888+ or the Snapdragon 888. According to AnTuTu, the Black Shark 4S Pro with Snapdragon 888+ still dominates the Android flagship list.

The Black Shark 4S Pro with Snapdragon 888+ has an average score of 874,702. In the second position is another gaming smartphone, Nubia Red Magic 6S Pro with an average score of 852,985. This smartphone also comes with the Snapdragon 888+ SoC. By comparing the sub-scores, the difference between the two lies in the CPU, GPU, and MEM scores. Among them, the Black Shark 4S Pro relies on the unique SSD + UFS 3.1 flash memory and it also has the advantages of the 512GB large storage.

In third place is the iQOO 8 Pro, which is also equipped with the Snapdragon 888+. It is the model with the highest running score among the regular (non-gaming) flagships. This smartphone is more performance-oriented.

However, the AnTuTu top 10 flagship list will change significantly in January. This is because smartphones with the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 SoC will make the list. There will be a significant difference because the SD 8 Gen1 exceeds 1,000,000 on AnTuTu. Taking the Xiaomi 12 Pro equipped with the new generation of Snapdragon 8 Gen1 as a comparison, the actual test score is 1,020,324. The GPU score of this chip is close to 450,000 but the Nubia Red Magic 6S Pro GPU scores 320,000. Thus, the improvements on the SD8 Gen1 are significant. The GPU performance is top-notch and its practical applications can bring better game frame rate stability. Below is the succinct spec description of the top five smartphones on this list.
