revü Best-performing flagship, midrange phones in June 2021

Finally, the global equivalent of theJune 2021 rankings Antutu Benchmark published on July 3 are now up.

While lists of best-performing Android smartphones are obviously based on benchmark scores generated on the platform, numbers can’t tell everything. Still, they somehow give consumers a fairly good idea of how devices perform in real-world settings. Now, let’s see the results in each category.

Top 10 flagship Android phones

We expected this: All devices that made it to the top 10 are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chip. Previously unrankedRedMagic 6 gaming phone landed first with a rating of 842,168, whileformer champ Realme GT 5G fell to the fourth spot. The fight for No. 1 was not even close; second-placerASUS ROG Phone 5 got 815,628 points.

So which best-performing premium smartphones in May didn’t get in this time around? There were three: the ASUS Zenfone 8 Mini, the OnePlus 9, and theOPPO Find X3 Pro.

Top 10 midrange Android phones

Unlike in the flagship category, Qualcomm-based models didn’t get all the spots here, although four of them have Snapdragon chipsets inside.

TheXiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G, the only handset to use a Snapdragon 780G processor thus far, held on to its position in May with a high average benchmark score of 526,282. Second-placer Honor 30’s rating was far at 454,528. Too wide a gap, no?

Top-ranked smartphones in May that dropped out of the June rankings were theSamsung Galaxy A52 5G, the Google Pixel 5, and theVivo V21 5G.
